Green Goodness

IF you have never had the pleasure to juice your own fruits and veggies I highly recommend it. John and I recently got a juicer and we use it at least once a week. There's nothing like the taste you get from fresh juice made just seconds before. Not only are the health benefits a major plus it's also a good way to lose weight and stay healthy. Our goal is to replace one meal a day with as much juice as we want. And since there is no added sugar in this it's a meal worth waiting for. Right now we are experimenting with our own fruit and veggie combinations but we also are using a recipe book that came with our juicer (Jack Lalanne). And since apples are in season we can't wait to make our own apple juice.

Whole Sale

~Turquoise~

Being married to a jewelry has it's perks. Like this last weekend when we (well, he) was invited to a whole sale jewelry show. The trade shows are rather interesting. We get to see the raw stones (turquoise, jade, agate. pearls) before they are cast and set to make those necklaces, earrings and bracelets we all love. It can be a bit overwhelming because every vendor has so much as so little at cost (whole sale), that it can be hard to take in. We managed to spend way more money than anticipated but, I think my jewelry box should be well stocked for the next year or so. Here are a few strands of items that I was able to pick out.

Whole Wheat Oatmeal Waffles

We got one of the coolest waffle makers as a wedding present a couple months ago and we haven't stopped using it since. What makes this one so unique is that it cooks TWO waffles at once. Now John and I can share breakfast together while the others waffle doesnt get cold. We used this recipe and they were absolutely scrumptious. Plus, the oats help keep you fuller longer and make a for a more nutritious meal.
