Missoni Pandemonium

If your anything like me you woke up at the crack of dawn to get to your nearest Target store to check out all the digs Missoni had out for their new line for Target. Or, you were one of the ones, also like me, that crashed their website servers. I was able to score a couple things I was hoping for but since my area is a small volume area I was bummed I did not get to see more of the collection. Equally bummed was I due to the fact that the one blanket I wanted is now sold out online. Please re-stock them Target! I got myself two sweaters and a tie and scarf for my husband. I hope you all got what you were looking for and hope for myself, and the rest of us, that they will re-stock. Missoni and Target are here to stay.

Flowered Ivy

The signs of fall are all around. School is in full swing, leaves are just starting to get a touch of red and gold and stores are starting to carry Halloween and Christmas decorations. As much I love and look forward to all of these I have recently found another sign of fall that is going to be added to my list of things to look forward to. I had no  idea that ivy could sprout flowers. I always assumed it was just a weed/plant that just grew and clung to anything it could get its vines on. Although pretty in and of it self, when I saw ivy growing in our back yard and seen flowers in places I didn't know they could be, I was immediately giddy. Not only are the flowers sweet and simple but they come in two different colors! Pink and blue on the same ivy plant. Oh man this made my day. Since this is the first time I had ever seen anything like this I grabbed my camera and snapped away.Maybe these flowers come out all year and I am just now seeing them but since they came out only a week or so ago I'm assuming they only happen at the start of fall and sticking to it. I hope you get the chance to see this awesome natural wonder and get as giddy as I did.

Healthy Breakfast Scramble

I love eggs. You could cook them pretty much any way you could think of and I would eat them. When i'm really hungry, or just really in a hurry, I tend to cook them in the microwave for just under a minute. They taste perfectly fine and just as good as ones in a fry pan. But when i've got time to spare and just the right ingredients, I love making them slow on the stove. While at my parents house one day I was looking for somehting delicious and nutritious and these sounded amazing. (Tasted just as equally amazing) My mom had fresh spinach and grape tomatoes so I whipped some eggs together, melted some spinach and added some tomates and voila, healthy breakfast eggs. Since don't really taste like anything you can put whatever you like on them and not feel to worried. I opted for just plane S&P (salt and pepper) and boy was it yummy. And that's another thing I like about eggs, their versatility is endless.

Our Weekend

My husband and I do not have a "normal" weekend. That is it does not fall on Saturday and Sunday. We both work both those days so we are left to decide when we will spend our weekend. For him it has been on average anywhere starting from Tuesday to Wednesday. (Unless it is a holiday week and he only gets one of those days) I try to work my schedule around his so that the two of us see each other at some point before the week is done.  This picture is one of those reminders of what can accumulate in a five day span and what the joys of staying at home with one another can bring. It might look like a lot of work but it just means more time I get to be around him. Included in this mess are some dishes used for making some awesome breakfast muffins I try to make ahead of time for John to take to work with him in the morning for his breakfast. And also, a new "Sunday" favortie of ours, waffles. John found a great recipe online (soon to come) that had oats in it. Yum-O.

Missoni For Target

Stop the presses! If you haven't already head Missoni is teaming up with Target this September (the 13th to be exact) to bring you one the best collections from any high end designer to collaborate with a department store. Not only will Missoni be creating a chic and fabulous women's collection, but they will also be selling everything from accessories to bicycles. Yes, that's right bicycles. As of right now I am dying over the house wears and scarves. Top onmy list to purchase will be there awesome throw. (I have wanted one ever since I seen one on Rachel Zoe's bed in a spread for a magazine). It was beautiful then and will be just as beautiful on my own. I give mad kuddos to all teh designers who have participated in the GO International collaborations with Target. But Missoni just takes this to a new level. No designer has been so expansive with teh range of items they are offering. You can see here, here and here that I oh so appreciate what Missoni has to offer and am bursting at the seems that they are teaming up with one of my favorite stores. See you on the 13th!

Detroit Tigers

Summer just doesn't feel complete without attending some sort of out door game. Whether it be professional baseball, little league, volleyball in the sand, or a croquet game in your own backyard, summer seems sweeter when your enjoying the warm nights with people you love and care about it. I have only been to a real Tigers game twice (last night included) and this was the first night game for me as well. So much fun. Even though we were in the sun's line of fire as it was setting the sky and stadium couldn't have been more beautiful. Definitely a great way to spend an evening with your honey. Plus, the tigers won! Needless to say, it was great time.

Instagram

Yesterday my friend introduced me to this awesome app for my iPhone. It is called Instagram and I think I just might be the last person on earth to have discovered it. I love how it changes your new photos just taken into ones that look like they came from my moms old photo albums. Here are a few of the pictures I have been experimenting with since discovering all its gnarly features.
